After giving birth to her first child, Mannie Pickett, Maria Louisa Pickett became the second wife of Cyrus Ammon Tolman, son of Cyrus Hewitt and Alice Bracken Tolman. This marriage produced George Orin and Maria Elizabeth Tolman. A divorce ended this marriage and Maria Louisa later married George Franklin Read and had three more children.
